INCOMPLETE DOCKETS

All dockets must be completed, then signed and dated by the prescribing dentist.  Any work received without all necessary information will be returned to the practice or put on hold until this information has been received.

No work will begin without all relevant information and date and signature of prescribing dentist.

As clearly stated on our lab dockets, missing information causes delays.  It is the responsibility of the practice to provide all necessary information to complete the work.

All-ON-X IMMEDIATE LOAD

All-on-X immediate load surgery visits are charged per arch at the price stated on our current pricelist.  This includes the lab technician for the immediate load case(s), any additional work carried out whilst on-site will be invoiced to the surgery /dentist as an additional charge.

Any surgery case cancelled with less than 2 weeks’ notice of the arranged date and not rescheduled, will be charged at full price.

All work is required in the laboratory a minimum of 10 working days before the agreed surgery date.

  • Work received with less than 10 working days but more than 5 working days will incur a 25% express fee
  • Work received with less than 5 working days but more than 3 working days will incur a 50% express fee
  • Any work received with less than 3 working days before agreed surgery date will automatically be cancelled/postponed.

All relevant information must also be provided a minimum of 10 working days prior to the agreed surgery date, with the above express fees being applied to work that needs to be placed on hold causing it to0 fall within the express period.

Surgery cases must be booked via the online booking system.  Cases can be booked Monday-Friday, excluding Wednesdays.  Weekend and Bank Holiday bookings must be done via telephone and will be subject to an additional charge of £500 per arch.

TURNAROUND TIMES

Crown and bridge jobs require 10 working days (excludes weekends and bank holidays) in the laboratory, excluding post/delivery days.

Cobalt chrome framework also requires 10 working days to be made. Once the chrome framework has been made, allow the normal 5 working days between stages.

For prosthetics please allow 5 working days between stages.  Straight to fit dentures require 5 working days for completion.  Any work requested in a timeframe less than the standard turnaround may be liable for an express fee at the discretion of the lab.  This should be discussed in advance with the lab.

COLLECTIONS AND DELIVERIES

If you have work to be collected, you must call by 09.00am on the day you require the collection to ensure a same day collection.   We do not guarantee delivery/collection times.  The return date on the docket should be the day before the patients next appointment.

Failed collections may be subject to a delivery charge.

EXPRESS SERVICE

Any work requested in a time frame less than the standard turnaround time may be liable for an express fee at the labs discretion.  All express work must be pre-arranged with the laboratory by telephone (01227 762175).

RETURN DATES

Any work that is received without a return date will be given a minimum of a 2 week turnaround, it is the responsibility of the practice to notify us of the required return date, if no date is provided it will be assumed non-urgent and you will not be notified of the return date.

DORMANT CASES

Any job that has not progressed to the next stage for 3 months or more will automatically be charged for the work that has already been completed.

FEES

All accounts must be settled in full by the end of the month.  We reserve the right to withhold work in cases where the account is in arrears.  Accounts that are settled in full by the 10th of the month will receive a 3% discount which will be applied as a credit note to the following months invoice.  Any accounts that are not paid in full by the end of the month will incur a 3% late payment fee which will be added to the outstanding amount. If overdue amounts are not paid after issued reminders, any legal fees or other costs required to collect an unpaid balance will be the responsibility of the client

WARANTEES/GUARANTEES

We can only guarantee that the appliance prescribed will fit the model produced from the impressions provided.  We cannot guarantee that the appliance will fit the patient’s mouth as this is entirely dep  endent on the accuracy and detail of the impression taken.

Should there be any issues with any appliance provided it must be returned to the lab for inspection by a qualified technician with a description of the issue.  Where it is deemed there has been a failure of materials or workmanship we will either rectify the issue or provide a credit note for the appliance. Any appliance retained by the patient/practice will be fully chargeable. In cases where work is returned as the patient has changed their mind and no longer wants the appliance, or the course of treatment has changed the work will be fully chargeable.

RELINES

All appliances requiring a reline due to tissue resorption after extractions will be chargeable.

CLASPS

2 clasps per denture are included in the price – all additional clasps incur an additional charge.

CUSTOMER DISCOUNTS

Discounts are worked out based on volumes of work received.  If at any point the volume of work received drops below the qualifying amount we reserve the right to withdraw any discounts from the account.

STANDARDS

The standard of work requested (Economy, Mid-range or Private) will determine the materials we use and the level of skill involved in producing the work, this is also reflected in the pricing structure (see current pricelist).  Some appliances are only available at a certain standard as specific materials must be used.  All implant work will automatically be private standard.
